The Beck Diet Solution Week1 - Day 2

Today, you are supposed to pick two diets. One primary diet, and a second in the case you decide that the first one doesn't work out for you. Irocnically, I've already done this, so this step is easy!

My Diets:

  • Primary - Ideal Protein
  • Secondary - Primal
The reason I chose these is because I know that they both work.

This one is short, simple and to the point!

A Switch, and a New Beginning

Why is it that even when we really want something, we plan, we do so well at first, but we can't stay motivated? That is where I was for awhile. I knew what I should be doing, what I need to do, but I'm just wasn't getting it done. I know I deserve this, I know I can do this, I just didn't want to! Well, I can now say that while my journey is going to be a little different, I am at it again with new vigor!

Finding My Motivation...

Motivation: Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal. Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors such as the (1) intensity of desire or need, (2) incentive or reward value of the goal, and (3) expectations of the individual and of his or her peers. These factors are the reasons one has for behaving a certain way.

Goal Setting Part 3 - Planning Our Way to Success!

Over the last couple of weeks we have learned what a goal is, how to write a clear and value based goal statement, and now, we will plan our way to reaching our goals!! I know, I know, I like to fly by the seat of my pants too. I hate lists, and plans. I want life to keep me guessing. All that being said, I have learned that to really meet my goals I have to plan, make lists, and keep myself organized.

Goal Setting Part 2 - A Value Based Goal Statement...

Writing a goal statement can't be that hard. "I want to lose weight"... there, I stated my goal! Well, kind of, but not really. Writing a goal statement (notice the word "writing") is more detailed than that, and should be a thought provoking experience for you. Do you remember what we talked about last week? A goal is much more involved than we first thought!
